Crafted from reclaimed mahogany, this console was featured in the Museum of Vancouver's exhibition, Reclaim + Repair: The Mahogany Project. Curated by Propellor Studio in collaboration with the Museum of Vancouver, this project brought together 31 local designers and makers, each contributing to a collection that challenges the role of design in sustainability and social justice.
The Deka console is part of this narrative, standing as a testament to the value of reclaimed materials and the skilled hands that transform them. The exhibition celebrates Vancouver’s vibrant design community while engaging with essential questions about our environmental impact and the future of responsible design.
Informed by Brutalist architectural forms, the Deka Console offers a platform for decorative expression and a home for displaced objects.
